K1600GT/GTL

Announced in July 2010 and available early in 2011 BMW have announced two new motorcycles based on the "Concept 6" shown in 2009. The K1600GT and K1600GTL. The GTL version offers more relaxed ergonomics and better comfort for two-up touring. These models may set the new standard in sport touring .

  1. Anyone had any success getting this bike to easily power wheelie or any wheelie? If anything it’ll happen in 1st gear, but it’s just stupid. I did accidentally power wheelie prior, but I almost feel like I had to trick the computer into letting it happen (maybe I did?) with some stupid and...

I'm going to try to drain and replace my own coolant. Primarily to get ready for my track day this weekend (no glycol). And it's something that I think I should be able to do on my own bike. I bought a vacuum setup and will post up pics. (Hopefully not of a cracked cylinder head)
  3. I just joined.. I am looking at a 2008 BMW K1200S. It has 8200 miles with BMW Bags and is in absolute mint mechanical and physical condition. Maintained by a BMW service center and all is up to date. I have ridden sport bikes for the last 25 years or so... but this would be my FIRST BMW. I...
  4. I picked up a 2005 BMW K1200s with 5800 miles a couple months ago. Been riding it as weather permits to get used to the bike and the only real complaint I have is the clunky shifting particularly 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd....the higher gears are fine. I have a friend who has had a lot of...
  5. Am looking for a nice rear luggage grid for my newly aquired k1300S. Contact direct at 423.637.4882 -- TJ
