For all you city slickers.

Wandered upon this cattle drive in Southern California yesterday (11-27-2009). The after-effects on the roadway were a bit messy though...and slick too.

They don't seem to spook as easily as deer which is good.

You should have heard it when the microphone was near the gas tank. It was much worse as was all the engine clatter and brake-actuator servo (2006) noise which is now minimal. It's now mounted under the rear trunk now pointing down at the exhaust pipe and the thing still "CLUNKS" loudly in the lower gears on video. BMW sure builds one noisy bike!

A Harley rider once told me he thought something broke when I downshifted coming up to a stop sign. For him to hear it "CLUNK" over his straight pipes really is bad. The old boxer RT also was a "Clunky" bike but adding a thicker oil into its separate gear box quieted it down a lot.

Sometimes the bike's brake squeal is really bad too. It's sporadic though so I ignore it.

But hey, it's a BMW so it must make some noise!
