I just have a fairly old and inexpensive Kodak digital camera that I usually take with me on rides. Some of the ride I do during the summer require photo proof that you were there. Instead of always just a bike in the photo, I take a small maybe 3 inch flexible tripod with me. The legs are flexible and can be made to pretty much conform to any surface for a level shot, so what ever is handy to put the camera on works and I can get self shots. New this year I have added a maybe 5 inch telescoping tripod that opens out to maybe a foot tall so in areas with nothing to put camera on I can avoid a shot looking up and try to keep it more level. The small one says photo logic on it, got it at the local everything store. The taller one is a Platinum Plus mini D by sunpak.
