Hello from Southeast PA

Hello all, I'm from Chester County PA, and been lurking around here for quite some times. I've been riding for well over 35 years and decided I had it with the "Knee Dragging" business, so I put my 04 R110S BCR Mamola Edition in timeout and decided to buy a Touring bike. So this morning I pulled the plug on a K bike and bought an '08 K12GT at Hermys.

Here's a short version of a long story: Bough an 08' Triumph Sprint St (1050) two mounts ago (June 3). Went to Mont Washington with some friends, came back and didnt like the feel of the ST on long drive. The Triumph is a great commuter, a compromised semi-tourer. What I liked most about it, is that it was very light and easy to toss around in twisties. I had the handlebar extender, Corbin seat, and lowered suspension, yet still not ergonomically comfortable. Anyhow, got tired of it and this morning I stopped by Hermys and saw a nice blue K1200GT and I had to have it.

I am now looking forward to interacting with the group, and finding more about my own ride.

Hi Stephan,
I'm riding a twin to your bike, a 2008 K1200 GT also blue. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours as much as I do mine. How was your purchase experience with Hermy's? Im looking for a new shop for service since Keller Brothers in Lititz closed their shop.

Hello, Mike yes its too bad Keller closed a little while ago. I bought my '04 R1100S Boxer Cup from them. They were great and laid back.
I've been going to Hermy's for quite sometimes now and really like them. Always helpful folks, no pressure. They let you walk around and always willing to help and let you go for a test drive (that's how they got me). Nick at Hermy's is a real nice guy and made my experience real smooth. Would definitely go again and buy another bike from them.
