So, just joined the club and am a little apprehensive about it but trying
. Iím a late 30s lumberjack who does little more than cut, chop, split, stack, and sell wood. The only other thing I do is ride, I donít commute as I work from my property.
Iíve worked at a Ducati (exclusive) shop, managed a dirt bike shop (Beta), had too many Ducatis and KTMs to keep track of, raced Enduro and Harescramble series in northern Indiana when I was younger.
Just got done spending 6 years rehabbing my knees after too much wear and tear in the Army. Sold my collection of 13 bikes (Ducatis and KTMs, including an 06 950 Adventure) around 2012 and just bought the first bike in my new collection on April Fools Day 2019 (yes, it bit me in the ass for buying it that day).
Anyway, found a deal on a bike that was nearly identical to one of my favorite bikes from my prior collection- 03 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS (usually wears its Adventure bike apparel). Rode it 3,000 miles in the first month and will be around the same mileage this month given that my fork seals hold up...
Just found this bike on OfferUp today and will be picking it up tomorrow- 07 K1200 GT for a steal.
Figure thatís about enough for a healthy intro. Look forward to learning about my new bike and how to ride it properly as Iím more of an air cooled, 2 valve, dry clutch kinda guy
