How much cost a piece of

apple pie and double espresso with cream in your area?

I was at the dealership today and called at a shopping center nextdoor. There are several coffee-shops there and I sat down in the nearest one. Had an "apfelstrudel" and coffee and paid 440 Russian roubles = USD 17,- = EUR 12,50.
That place is not the tourist city center and not in the center at all - it is located almost outside of the city.

Take care!

Well, here in the Bay Area (San Francisco) coffee-no charge for cream, and a piece of apple pie is about $5. In a restaurant coffee refills are free. Last month we were touring around Italy--Caffee Latte and any type of Danish (pie, croissant) was about 12euro, sitting down. Its less in western europe if you stand.

Phil,

Did you notice any difference between Caffee Latte in Italy and coffee refill in SF?

Take care!

Paid $6 for a small cup of iced coffee in So. California Valley in Bakersfield, probably a squirt of whip cream added to the cost. That was a year ago. Might by $7 by now since coffee has gone up since then. You'd think with all the Starbucks, Java Jaz, and whatever coffee thing is sitting on every corner a cup of coffee would have come down rather than go up tenfold. I never put much faith in the "Law of Supply and Demand."

It's back to McDonald's Happy Meals for me.

Oh, somewhere it was said that McDonald's coffee was selected as "best taste" among all the coffee houses out there. Must'a been practice makes perfect.

quanta costa?

On this side of the pond I would expect to pay half of that. Petrol this morning is .70 European thingo's. A glass of beer 1.54, bread 1.23 (sliced Vienna my favourite) When I travel I stay in a pub and pay aboutd 15 of those jiggers. If I have picked up an 18 year old Asian Uni studen I give her 37 E and the motel would cost about 40. (just joking about the last bit fella's they advertise in the paper here)
