Come on, mates Nobody is watching Ise Hockey Worlds Championship?
The previous time we did meet in the Final was in 1989. Then we won 5:3. And had almost 20 years of darktimes.
Isn't it interesting now? Such a Final and in Canada?

The game promisses to be breath taking

Take care!

Well, this Canuck really isn't a hockey watcher but congratulations!! Sounds like it was an exciting game.

thank you, Brent!
The game was brilliant - 5:4 - as the Final game!
we saw almost everything - personal arts, teamwork, forchecking, saves and overtime!
Moscow does not sleep this night - it's 1.40 am but the city centre is overcrowded.

Take care!

Congrats to the Big Red Machine. It has been a long drought for you. In my area all I can get is Stanley Cup playoffs. Better than no hockey.

Thank you, Darrel!
Long 15 years we did not see the Gold!
You can't believe but past year the Worlds'07 took place in Moscow and our guys won Bronze - so the tribunes were almost empty for the Final game inside the newly/and specially/ built huge Ice Palace . Such a dissapointment was here.

Take care!

Smile

There were a lot of discussions on Russian i-net forums during the game - those boiling emotions. As you know, the match hero, Ilya Kovalchuk, had no score during the whole tournament and one of the guys here wrote that he would eat his skates should Kovalchuk score two goals/ there was 3:4 in favour of Canadians at that moment/ The next 10 minutes Kovalchuk scored two goals And made us the Champs! Today Russian i-net is full of advice on how to cook his skates better for that guy.

Take care!

Be sure to marinate the tops (with the laces in place) in good vodka for at least 3 days. No idea what to do with the blades, though. They may be tough to swallow.

Congrats!

Congrats!

You know, there will be EURO 2008 in Switzerland and Austria in June. The Russian team has new coach - Mr. Hiddink from the Neitherlands. And thanks to him our team joined the tournament. So that guy from the i-net forum who promissed to eat Kovalchuk's skates was asked to write a new promise - to do a blowjob to the coach should we win.
Not sure will it help though

Take care!
