Yippee! Rode Today 17 to 20 degrees F

With all the snow and ice, I've missed a few weeks of riding to work. Today the roads were dry so off I went! I was going thru withdrawls and you all know how dangerous that is on the wallet I was looking for another bike to buy.

I rode up beside an 18 wheeler with a small pooch sitting on his lap. The pooch watched me as I rode past thinking "what a nut."

I did get one vigerous wave from a guy in his truck--a fellow biker I'm sure!

Have a good one, I know I'm going to have a GREAT day!

You are crazy man! Gotta ride pretty fast to keep your tires warm, eh?

Overheating is not a problem

Me, too. Been commuting some days with temps around 20 on the 20 mile interzip ride to work. Toasty on the K12GT. The only problem is fogging shields, even with Fog City.

Tires - yes, I wondered about how much lean angle I can afford in low temps.

Fogging Glasses/shields - yeah, that's always a problem.

I hate washing all that salt and debris off the bike after a ride in the winter.

But I did ride around the neighborhood just to blow out some cobwebs yesterday...

Took a ride today with intentions of making it down to the Ocean, but found ice on the bridge, and turned around. Did a little putting around the neighborhood topped off the tank, then spent an hour washing all the salt off the bike. Now she's tucked back away on the charger. Like everyone else I was desperate to get out, but a ride like that really doesn't doit justice. We just have to wait a few more weeks guys

I think we have to wait a bit yet to ride, although it is 42F and raining, back to normal Friday with more snow predicted
