air bus

The Brand Spanking New Airbus 340-600, Sat In Its Hangar In Toulouse ,

France Without A Single Hour Of Air Time.

Enter The Arab Flight Crew Of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (adat) To Conduct Pre-delivery Tests On
The Ground, Such As Engine Run Ups, Prior To Delivery To Etihad Airways
In Abu Dhab The Adat Crew Taxied The A340-600 To The Run-up Area.

Then They Took All Four Engines To Takeoff Power With A Virtually Empty
Aircraft. Not Having Read The Run-up Manuals, They Had No Clue Just How
Light An Empty A340-600 Really Is.

The Takeoff Warning Horn Was Blaring Away In The Cockpit Because They
Had All 4 Engines At Full Power. The Aircraft Computers Thought They
Were Trying To Takeoff But It Had Not Been Configured Properly
(flaps/slats/etc.) Then One Of The Adat Crew Decided To Pull The Circuit Breaker On
The Ground Proximity Sensor To Silence The Alarm.

This Fools The Aircraft Into Thinking It Is In The Air.

The Computers Automatically Released All The Brakes And Set The Aircraft
Rocketing Forward.

The Adat Crew Had No Idea That This Is A Safety
Feature So That Pilots Can't Land With The Brakes On.

Not One Member Of The Seven-man Arab Crew Was Smart Enough To Throttle
Back The Engines From Their Max Power Setting, So The $200 Million
Brand-new Aircraft Crashed Into A Blast Barrier, Totalling It.

The Extent Of Injuries To The Crew Is Unknown, For There Has Been A News
Blackout In The Major Media In France And Elsewhere. Coverage Of The
Story Was Deemed Insulting To Moslem Arabs.

Finally, The Photos Are
Starting To Leak Out????

Maybe they were aspiring terrorists, and wanted to learn how to crash into something. By the way, shame on airbus for turning the aircraft over to these knuckle heads. Someone from Airbus, who actually knew what he was doing should have been in the cockpit.

+1

there must be someone from Airbus aboard. Also all civil pilots are equally trained - it does not depend on skin color or citizenship, imho. Looks like something went wrong with the plane and they wanted to blame the crew.

P.S. That accident happened last year and the reason was technical - the brakes failed.
So mocking at Arabs was not correct.

Take care!

But the story about the incompetent crew is so much more fun to believe!

Easyman, that makes more sense since any pilot would at least pull back the throttles. But it's always a treat to make fun of our favorite camel jockeys.

Even better, a year ago would have only been another 1.5m barrels to get another one.

With Saudi at 10m barrels a day, thats what?, 3 hours worth?

Come on, Dadi, are you jealous? No oil?

You could calculate in butter or in shipskins

Mate, you are confusing us with New Zealand.

We can calculate it in coal, iron ore, copper, zinc, beef, natural gas and many other things but none of which we can pump out of the ground at a rate of 10 million barrels a day.
We do have some oil and we have enough natural gas to last 100 years. We also have the worlds largest deposits of high grade uranium if the world ever goes fully nuke we are sitting pretty but I think Chernobyl put an end to that.
No, I think pumping enough oil to buy a $200m aircraft in around 3 hours probably wins the easy money race.

Oh well I guess well just have to put up with the weather and beaches and fly around in aircraft that bear scars from the blitz!!!!
