Bike vs car

TOO FUNNY NOT TO SHARE...

Check out the Viper owners quote. $150K worth of car and not only does it lose to a bike you could pick up for $9K, it breaks too.

A good car wins to a bike when it's raining or freezing outside, whatever the horsepower!

I seem to recall (Car & Track?) where a car (Corvette?) also beating a sportbike in the twisties of the Angeles Crest Highway as well. They had sealed the course off and the car could hug and take the corners far faster. The sliding of the bike - less traction - took it's toll it appeared. In the straights the bike could easily pull ahead - but it isn't that way up there.

I've seen some pretty snappy Volkswagons (Beetle variety) in the hills too. I believe the cop's Crown Vics also had some suspension mods that make them corner far better as well.

428 Cobra Jet

I had a modifide 69 428 cobra jet that I believe would on most any day beet a high performance motorcycle , it was more difficult to keep it going though, it neerly cost 2 kawasaki 900 riders dearly trying to race with it. they were use to shooting the gap beeting most all cars by awide enough margine to manuver in traffic but the mustang was not your average bear, it shook the mirrors on nighbors houses when i fired it up in the morning the squids would have hit a car that was ahead of them in thier lane,,as I locked up the brakes and put it kind of side ways they shot the gap by inches,,, they both stopped as soon as they could (probly to cleen thir shorts out) after the rather short race , they wanted to race ,,A fast car is very hard to beat, it would corner very well too I STILL think it would smoke my k1200rs from a rollon race , moral is watch out for sleepers too a fast car can posibly enter your lane too ,, bad joesflashdog
