CNC is getting pretty sophisticated.

My dentist now has a camera that photographs your teeth, converts them to a CAD layout, and then sends it to a CNC in another room down the hallway that makes your crown while you wait in the chair. No more molds and waiting for someone to make one and send it back. Soon, maybe, all teeth that can be straighten may be done via CNC if they aren't too screwed up to begin with.
