Strange Google Earth stuff

In Google Earth, take a look at this thing at these co-ordinates:

35.679799 -118.371075

Looks to be 4,000 feet tall too.

Weird.

I'm thinking that's a photographic anomoly. I went to several of the camera shots at ground level and there's nothing there.

I just tried something interesting with that anomaly.

If you set a FROM point of say 2100 Sierra Way, Lake Isabella, CA and a TO point of 2800 Sierra Way, Lake Isabella, CA and play it as a "Tour" it makes that anomaly a 4,000' roller coaster ride! That wierd anomaly is actually the highway and the FLY or TOUR portion of Google Earth actually climbs it, and then crashes down the other side of that road on the TOUR.

Wonder how long it will remain on G.E?

Damn it. Google must have site Goggles and went and fixed it. Been there for years too.

Here's what it used to look like:

Oh well. Least it was fun to virtual drive on while it lasted.

edit: Nope still there. My "Terrain" was unchecked.

Here's some guy's sorry @ss two-stroke - that sounds like it needs a serious tune-up! - riding over that Google Earth map flub.

Two stroke motorcycle riding over the Google Earth bridge.

However, it does sound a lot like a Yamaha two-stroker around here someplace.
