Have you carried a pistol while motorcycling ?

When I used to go out of state motorcycleing , I took a hand gun with me . I never needed to use it. I never was searched , even while stoped for speeding. I now do not carey, as I don't want to be extorted the $ for my CC in oklahoma. so have you ever caried a CC while motorcycleing ?

Yes I have. My state's CC license does not allow some states. I stay away from those states so I dont have to deal with the hassle.

I was always taught why carry just one when when you can carry two. And why carry two when you can carry three. ( I even saw that in a book I read)

I have not carried as I border MASSACHUSETTS where they don't really agree with my right to carry in their state and I refuse to pay the fee for an out of state CC permit. Vermont is no problem but there is no reciprocity with Maine for a NH permit. So legally I'm stuck. The furthest I can LEGALLY carry would be Vermont, after that I have to enter either NY or MA and neither one is fun if you get caught.

Technically i believe one can carry under federal transportation law through the gun-nazi states if you unload and lock it in the trunk. But only if passing through. I just avoid those states, figuring they are not places i need to visit with so many gun friendly states available. My OH and PA (Nonresident) licenses provide 34 of the best riding states in the US. Not that interested in the blue states such as Eastern seaboard, Calif. and Illinois.

Well there are some very mean people, and terrible crimes that happen to some people by the mean ones., and one could save his ass or someone else ass if need be.(I have been through the a full week of CLEET pistol firearms course 400rounds there hit a 96 with a short 40cal glock in becoming qualified armed private investigator/gaurd) My instructor wanted all to get a cc permit also.( HE WAS FORMER POLICE detective and caught the sierial rapist that raped his mother ( he raped 70 or so befor )and his father died shortly after the beating given to him as the rapist wanted guns and money .Do things like that happen there? if not I might move.

Carry Piece

Absolutely!!! I carry all the time. If you go into a place where you can't carry then lock it in the hard bag or trunk. I go with the old pro-gun saying, "I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six".
Let's go one further. I had an a-hole behind me once that must have just had a thing out for bikers. He tailgated me just a few feet off my back bumper for miles and there was traffic ahead of me and on the side so what could I do. I motioned him to back off on a nice way and he got closer and kept pushing me, we were all doing about 70mph. Then he went to pass me on the right in a banzai move and almost clipped my front wheel. Now Cobbler looks at this as an unprovoked attack and attempted murder. Here's the question, since he was trying to kill me with his car, can I shoot him with my gun? There are many a-holes out there and I'm gonna protect myself one way or another and I don't care what State I'm traveling through. But that's just me.

California has issues. Gun here. Chamber there. Bullets elsewhere. Permit? It don't matter.

All a gun is good for in CA now is to throw at the perp like some sort of paperweight. Brandish and you are in big trouble. Even if you have a CC permit, you may be spread eagle on the side of the freeway by the CHP like some long-distance trucker I know who "used to carry" with a CC permit when asked by the cop "Are you carrying anything I need to know about?" Was an ugly day for him and his driving partner and his company also threatened to fire them both, but under the grounds of being a late delivery as they were detained.

CA is another world, but it spreads. Hell, you can't even pull a camera out in places now without being some sort of "alleged" terrorist/pervert/mauler/architectural thief/idea stealer/copyright infringer/unlicensed paparazzi/etc.
