How hot is it?

A few weeks ago I had my iPhone 4 mounted on the bars of my '06 GT while riding home in 105F temps. About 3/4 of the way home (~25 miles), the phone started displaying a little yellow triangle with a message to the effect that the phone was overheating and was shutting down and would need to cool down before it was usable again. It could have been the air temp + the heat funneling up between the forks hitting the phone that caused it, but it did shut down.

Yesterday after riding about 35 miles in 110+F temps, my radar detector shut down. I parked the bike under the barn, turned it off, turned it back on....still no radar. About 2 hrs later, I went out and started the bike up and the radar came back on. Heated related? I think so.

Be careful out there in the heat guys.
