BMW Motorrad in Russia

Found an awkward situation here: BMW Motorrad Russia supports a business venture(in the form of a Motorrad Owners Club) which is a known seller of cheap OEM parts and apparel here( being Not an authorised BMW dealer but a so-called "grey" importer of OEM goods)....BMW Motorrad Rus publishes news about that venture on its i-net site, expresses its support and allows mutial events my opinion, they are killing their own authorised dealers in this country - who is going to buy spares or suits from their dealers if everybody knows the cheaper source.. strange but not surprised ..

Just curious how it is organised in the States - I mean relations between BMW of NA and various clubs and non-authorised ventures?

Take care!

I know of just one BMW shop that's not a dealer between Santa Cruz and San Jose. Ted's Beemer shop. Well run, well respected by owners. He's also the GS-911 distributor and Wilbers Suspension products distributor for the west coast. Next time I'm in there I'll ask how BMW treats him "officially"

There's beemerboneyard ... how do they do it?

Unmitigated risk aversion is the new Puritanism, complete with witch hunts, funny outfits, and solemn preachers thundering doom. The name of God is changed to Safety; the name of Satan is changed to Lawyer; but the object remains the same: to suck all the life out of life and make you live on the husk.
