Probs.

Bye bye bike. 107000 k....Needs a new cruise switch, about 3 big ones, ABS motor, think they said something about five. I do not need either of these items fitted, but abs kaput means I have little back brake, don't use that much either. But this is not why I have been buying BMW. I like to set off before sun up and ride till beer o'clock knowing I just need petrol. That is too many bucks for too few klicks in my book. I love the bike. I have the training, eyes, reflexes and natural ability. I do not ride the bike, I become the bike. Damn!! Still , after sixty years (60) of almost daily riding I guess I do not need a calculator to figure the answer. Always thought I would go out with bang, as one of my instructors said "you crazy bastard I will ride escort at your funeral." Forget what he died of.

Sorry to hear, Bert. I have begun being more and more apprehensive about my bike after reading all the bad stuff regarding ABS faults. My son's bike is identical to mine, and he went through the ABS nightmare. I only have 24K on my '07GT, and I'm wondering if maybe it's time to sell it and get out of biking altogether.
