Thanks Greg. Never heard that one. He sounds a lot like Richard Thompson. But not as good a singer, or guitar player (no offense :o). Richard Thompson has a song called "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" that every rider should hear.

Last year I assembled a "riding songs" playlist with a fairly strict criteria. Every song has to be about riding, or a bike. No assumptions! For example, "Born to be Wild" never mentions riding a bike. Here's my playlist . . . enjoy. And thank you for contributing.

(in no particular order)

1. 1952 Vincent Black Lightning; Richard Thompson - (Live)
2. Bad Motor Scooter; Sammy Hagar - (Live)
3. Ballad Of Easy Rider; Bruce Springsteen - (Live)
4. Bat Out Of Hell; Meat Loaf
5. Berry Rides Again; Steppenwolf
6. Biker Like An Icon; Paul McCartney - (Live)
7. Black Denim Trousers & Motorcycle Boots; Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra
8. Bottoming Out; Lou Reed
9. Cool Rider; Grease 2 - (OST)
10. Cowboys Like Us; George Strait
11. Crazy Motorcycle; L.A. Guns
12. Don't Stop To Watch The Wheels; Doobie Brothers
13. Eye Of The Hurricane; David Wilcox
14. Haley's Got A Harley; .38 Special
15. Harleys & Indians; Roxette
16. High & Dry; Radiohead
17. Highway 49; George Thorogood
18. Ilfracombe; Hawksley Workman
19. Indian Motorcycles; Fred Eaglesmith
20. Iron Horse / Born To Lose; Motorhead
21. Jeans On; Keith Urban
22. Jesus Rode A Harley; Ugly Kid Joe
23. Kickstart My Heart; Motley Crue
24. Little Honda; The Beach Boys
25. Moto Psycho; Megadeth
26. Motorcycle; Love And Rockets
27. Motorcycle Cowboy; Merle Haggard - (Live)
28. Motorcycle Drive By; Third Eye Blind
29. Motorcycle Emptiness; Manic Street Preachers
30. Motorcycle Mama; Neil Young
31. Motorcycle Mama; Sailcat
32. Motorcycle Mama; Sugarcubes
33. Motorcycle Man; Saxon
34. Motorcycle Ride; Rancid
35. New Sensations; Lou Reed
36. Ride; Joe Satriani
37. Roll Me Away; Bob Seger
38. San Franciscan Nights; Eric Burdon and The Animals
39. She Likes It Too; Alan Jackson
40. Speeding Motorcycle; Yo La Tengo
41. Still They Ride; Journey
42. The Motorcycle Song; Arlo Guthrie - (Live)
43. Wanted Dead Or Alive; Bon Jovi
44. * 1952 Vincent Black Lightning; Richard Thompson - (Studio cut)
45. * Eye Of The Hurricane; David Wilcox - (Live at KBCO Studio C)
and now, 46. The Isle of Man; Phil Fusion

Have got to agree that 52 Vincent Black Lightning is one of the greatest songs/ballads ever written. Richard Thompsons performance is fantastic. Saw him perform this year - what a fabulous musician with a great sense of humor.
