a gift to my son

He is finishing his second year in economics and I made a gift for him - a Macbook!

What a great thing! My first experience with Apple and the difference is enormous.
Such a pleasure to communicate with the machine!
Sorry, maybe not the proper place to express my feelings just wanted to do it.

Take care!

I'm glad that you discovered such a great machine. I hope your son appreciates what Dad did for him. It feels great to love your kids!

Hey brother! My son bought at Macbook this year too ...

On his own ... (with very little help from Dad).

Have your son join the "Apple development community" and get some big discounts on buying Apple stuff ... as well as a DVD every month on tools and updates. It is cheap to join and is a big motivator.

My son is in 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering.

It is good for the heart when they get over that "hump" and make it on their own ... eh?

My son bought a 1994 K75S with proceeds from his last years summer work too ...

And between he and I we are restoring an old 1977 R100/7 which I have stored for this express purpose for too many years to mention ... also which I had bought new in 1977 and had enjoyed many many miles touring on ...

Hey ... life is good eh?

God bless ...

You know, everyone takes it for granted that the early child-rearing years are the best years with your children, but for me, it's now. My kids are grown, gone, married, and have families of their own. I enjoy being with them as adults in their own right, with their own ideas, opinions, and matured personalities. I know you're proud of your son, Vladimir, and I think it's great that he's in college. The Macbook was a good choice!

Yeah, I believe every time has its advantage and for me it's a pleasure to see my son reminds me(younger) now. Sometimes I even know in advance what he is going to say or to do because I'd do or say the same 20 years earlier Incredible. But at the same time the new generation has more possibilities as life is changing. Or is it common point of view of the parents? And the ancient matter Parents-Children?

Take care!

Sometimes it's funny...at ages 24 and 30, they look at me with the same quizzical look they did when they were much younger at how I understand some of their life's mysteries...even today.
