What happened to I-BMW.com?

As of approximately 1600 hours EDT the owner of I-BMW.com has decided to change the DNS server entries in the domain record, and thus effectively taking down I-BMW.com.

In response and in order to save the community from great harm we have decided to move the community to a new domain, and in turn to a new software.

While the old software is still accessible under the URL: http://www.k-bikes.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php expect that to be closed soon and it will be used as an archive from there on.

As for the political meaning of that, I guess your site administrators and moderators will make announcements soon.

its not unsubstaniated and it is not a diatribe it is a single statement. I heard from the man himself.
So now I have one side of the story how about hearing the other side instead of the orig postings which say nothing.
If the forum was moved for good reason then say so please.

Glad there's a new place. Hope all the archives are still available; there was a wealth of maintenance information there.
Keep up the good work guys, and I certainly appreciate your efforts to keep the community alive. However, I didn't receive any Emails; had to find out thru other sites. Have a great weekend.

Ok, fair enough. From your statement, you were told it was hijacked. Correct me if I'm wrong. Care to share with us what you know?

I-BMW.com resolves to nothing currently. It is owned by one person, who can re-direct it anywhere...and it goes where?

There is a community...online in nature, that "exists". When the common point disappears, where do you go? If you get re-directed to a place that hopes to have everyone you interacted with available, is it an evil place?

What do you want? Nothing to go to, and everyone in that community is left hanging in the breeze?

Because you have one side of the story that no one else has, it's the truth? Do you even know what the truth is?

I'll tell you what I know about the truth in this whole ordeal.

Do you need me to repeat it?

To answer your last question, I honestly believe it wasn't moved, just given an different look and feel. It's still the same group of malcontents driven by the same needs and urges to deal with the others as has been done in the past.

After reading the Licensing Agreement on this new site, I knew VICS had no vested interest in this place. Too many rules for the man that painstakingly tried to maintain an open forum with as few restrictions as possible. RIP I-BMW.
