Ouch!!! By the looks, everyone had proper gear, which is a good thing. Lets hope nobody died or had severe injuries. Talk about an insurance nightmare!

Pathogen7,

Look at the middle lane on the second pic. There is a guy getting launched. Look even closer and you will see jeans and runners.

also in pic 3, in the far right lane you will notice a guy knocked out cold. looks like his helmet is meters away from him in the gutter. Didnt do it up.

If someone could read the site and post any other details.

Thank goodness for ABS

Note all of the skid marks. Most have a tail at the end indicating loss of control.

It just keeps going and going. Just when it looks like it is all over, another group comes over the hill and piles in. Also notice one guy in the middle of the picture with both feet down. Can you say "rear brake fella".

I saw the original on a Russian (I think) website. About 40 seconds.

http://www.livejournal.com/users/alexey/54385.html

I've fired the website through the Babel Fish translator and it seems that at least one girl (woman) ended up in a coma.

1) Go to http://babelfish.altavista.com/
2) paste the web address (from above) into the appropriate box
3) Select the from/to language, and click the [Translate] button.

It isn't a perfect translation, but it does sort of make sense.

Also click on the (translated) 'several personnel of emergency' link at the bottom on the main posting. This is where I found out about the casualties.

Yup, the blind summit of the bridge with red traffic lights on the other side probably did it.
