Cassette adapters for iPod?

Has anyone here used the cassette adapters used to hook up iPod's to the factory head units? I'm wondering how they sound. Currently I am looking to buy the harness but if I get outbid I may not raise if the cassette adapter sounds good. I definitly don't like my fm transmitter.

If this is a run-of-the-mill cassette adapter, you can get one for about $5 at wal mart or most any other store. They can be up to $20, but as far as I know, there is no discernable differnce in the items except cost. I use one for a xm radio in my car. It's MUCH better than using an unused frequency.

Yes the sound reproduction is pretty good ... better than most FM transmitters.
