FORECAST 59 and sunny in MD

Ok, who else out there is chomping at the bit in anticipation? Been cooped up for too long here in Maryland. Ok, I did get the bike out once a couple weeks ago, but really.

TSX, We'll be expecting a ride report now that you have the bike out...I have to work today (rats!) and I'm waiting for my heated jacket liner to arrive any day now (monday I hope) to try it out and I'm sure I'll have loads of days coming up that will require it. Sun being out should help with a little bit of radiant heat also. Enjoy!!!

Fantastic day, even with the crazy wind. Perfect temps. Sunny. A bit of smow melt in the shady areas to watch out for.

The scenic area I ride is North of I-70 around route 32. I really do love MD for these rides. For the most part everywhere north of I-70 and west of Baltimore is great for riding. Got onto 32 from I-70 and went south. Exit at Triadelphia and just tossed a coin from there. Not sure how, but I ended up near Columbia MD. After the Farmland it was time for me to hit up Downtown Baltimore. Although very rundown in many areas, it does have a few nice spots. I snuck in a visit to a great little music/video shop in Fell's Point, near the Inner Harbor. Got a couple of used DVD's.

Anyways, I saw quite a few bikes out there, and I hope you were one of them. It is so different from the Summer when riding is taken for granted.

On a side note, I would love to post the pics in my post, so I could post under each pic, etc. Thanks.

Nice winter ride. Up here in Vermont we still have quite some time left before we can ride. Still a couple feet of snow and temps in the teens to low 30's. I for one can't wait for spring.

Well, a week ago the temps barely got into the mid 30's. Today they are forecasting mid-upper 60;s....yeah. I dream of getting off of work today. This is just a brief prelude to spring, before winter makes its last gasp.

I have a lot of envy for those that are riding, the picture in the link above suggests that it might be a little difficult here. But we got a break?? high of 51F with rain, washed a lot of salt away, but by the time I can ride they are predicting SNOW again, with the temps dropping into the 20s.

Ride a couple of miles for me, I will just visit bike shops, a wait impatiently for the real spring.
