A few pics of my recent ride in Tasmania (OZ)

Did a 14 day ride back in March. 5 days from Brisbane to Melbourne and the 9 days in Tasmania after a 12 hour overnight ferry ride. I had planned on taking the GT but had clutch noise issues the week before I left and didnt want a repeat of last years failure so I took the GSA. 5,000ks all up
I flew back to Brisbane from Tassie as i could only get away for a couple of weeks and the GSA came home a week later with a furniture removalist.

Geeze

Mate,

Ya had ta go an' do it, didn't ya heh? Start flashin them holiday piccies around...thinkin' how good ya an that...

From what you have posted, all I can say is that you caught some bonza weather, ESPECIALLY on the West Coast where it pisses down only a bit, i dunno, like about 300days a year....

Great photos of the Hazzards, Bicheno and down south. Kettering is where you get to Bruny from, mostly dirt roads on the island. I coulda showed you few unmapped fire tracks, you know, the unmapped ones where it gets pretty tight, worser than that Rally

Shit...now you hav gone and made me homesick, Westy hasn't been around lately...probably a good thing lookin at them photos.

Thanks mate for sharing. Am happy that one of the blokes around here could see my home island. Makes me wonder what I am doing around here actually

Cheers,

Bloke

Just read in the local (USA) paper that your beloved Tasmanian Devil is now on your endangered species list... What a shame, What can we do to help?

Not much it would seem. There are some pretty unusual and frightening diseases getting around the world these days but the one that is wiping out the Tassie Devils is a contagous Cancer, can you believe that.
The cancer seems to attack their mouth and snout making it difficult to impossible for them to eat and they are passing it on to each other.
There are colonies in Tassie that are unaffected and they are trying to keep them as quarantined as possible.
Can you imagine if such a cancer was to mutate into humans? doesnt bare thinking about.
