Death Valley

I share your passion for the valley, both on two wheels and 4WD. This spring should see spectacular blooming similar to the "100 years" floral display in 2005. I have already put the day trip on my calendar for early March and am anticipating great view.

Can you suggest a range of dates when the floral display will be in bloom?

Death Valley

There does not seem to be an absolute period for max blooming, but it seems to depend upon how early the heat sets in. My best guess is the first two weeks of March, al least that is when I plan to ride out. An additional item might be related to late spring snow storms on the Panamint Range. This will have an impact on the valley as the westerly winds whip down from the mountains.
Dress warm and go early. Rain is always possible. Enjoy and ride sage.
