Col d'Izoard in the French Alps (film)

I bought a Contour HD camera last year and made a series of films which I've finally got round to editing. Here's one of them, descending the Col d'Izoard on my K1300GT.

nice vid, thanks for sharing
also seen others from your films - great rides.

did you compare contour hd with GoPro HD?

I am now choosing between them...

Take care!

Thanks for the kind words.

To be honest, I didn't know that an HD version of the GoPro was available. I would imagine that quality must be fine as the standard GoPro was pretty good, but I don't know of anyone who has an HD version to be able to pass any meaningful comments as to comparable performance.

Contour have a new version with a GPS function and Gopro have a video back which can be added to their models (might be standard on new ones) so that you can see and replay back what you have just filmed, plus you can use as a "normal" camera, so I guess these features places it above the Contour, but ultimately I guess it depends what features you want?

one more question - is it waterproof? well, there is nothing interesting in filming the rain, but just not to stop in order to take it off....

Take care!

Not waterproof I'm afraid, but check the attached link for their solution.
