Bike Rental in San Francisco?

I'll be flying in to the area in August for a few days for a school reunion in the Healdsburg area, and would like to rent a bike for the time I'm there. Has anyone had any experience they can share with any of the companies renting bikes in the SF area?

Well, I live in the area, but A) haven't had any rental experience or B) don't know of anyone who has. From what I recall, most are limited to Harley's (but dubbelju has Harley's, Triumphs, and BMW's). Try Google for "Motorcycle Rental" "San Francisco" (include the quotes) and see if any attract your attention.

I think BMW of San Francisco rents BMWs (at least they used to). Try asking for Larry Saenz- super nice guy. He'd probably know who does if they don't rent anymore.

I have no experience with them, but they do have BMWs for rent on their website. They are located in an alley semi-near to Moscone Center (SOMA)

Great Experience

I rented from BMW San Francisco back in 2001, I loved the experience so much that I went home and ordered my first BMW. I phoned ahead, and the bike was waiting for me, out the door in minutes. Wish I was going, the roads are GREAT.

Chris used to have a K1200RS and R1100R in the rental fleet, but maybe not anymore.

The BMWMOA has a good list of rental outfits for North America and around the world.

Thumbs up MC rentals in SF

Having rented many bikes in SF over the years I have found the folks at dubbleju to be exceptional. They have a variety of new bikes, BMW, Triumph, and HD
and even some discounted used BMW's. They will give you itineraries and rent equipment if you come from out of town.. They are right in the city so you can walk there.

Enjoy,
Noel
