Thanks to BillyOmaha for riding tips

My wife and I just spent the last two days riding in the San Francisco area and want to give a shout of thanks for the route tips you gave me last month. My wife and I are staying in Napa and rented a R1200RT from Dubbelju (highly recommended). Yesterday we rode in and around Napa, Sonoma, Calistoga and found some great roads (Silverado Trail, Trinity Road and Mt. Veeder Rd.) I thought Deal's Gap was one of the best roads I had been on, but Trinity and Mt. Veeder were awesome. Not fast because they are so tight, but not a straight section in them it seemed! Also, the ride out to Pt. Reyes on Petaluma-Pt. Reyes Rd. was great.

Also, I took your advise and headed down Hwy 1 into Santa Cruz and then went into Capitola for lunch. We then headed up Hwy 9 to Hwy 35 and then caught 92 back over to Half Moon Bay and then Hwy 1 north. Highways 9 and 35 were awesome except for that asshole that wouldn't use the turnout to let the 20 cars behind him pass. Thankfully we weren't behind him the whole way. This route happened to be the same one Wolfgang at Dubbelju recommended.

Thanks again for the info. This forum is one of the reasons that makes owning a BMW that much more enjoyable.
