Rode a whopping 34 miles to SF today

Needed to pick up some re-armored gear at Johnson Leathers and sit on the bike for measurements for some pants I'm having made there. Had some time to goof around with fotos...

A few hundred yards ahead at Fort Point is where Hitchcock filmed Kim Novak jumping into the bay in Vertigo...

This is what the fish sees:

These four windsurfers were flying across the bay:

Took some scouting around to find a spot where I could park the bike on a hill overlooking Alcatraz. Found a good spot, and the sun was out vs at the Golden Gate...

Great shots, as always, Steve. I've ridden across the Golden Gate many times in the past few years when travelling from Southern California to Northern California and Oregon... it's always impressive to me. In your fourth shot, Alcatraz doesn't appear that great a distance for a reasonably strong swimmer to traverse, but of course, the photo doesn't reveal temperatures or currents.

It's not the speed that kills, it's the rate at which the speed diminishes...
