Snow Mobiles

Until yesterday I had never ridden one, but always wanted to. I was able to get 2 older models for where I work. They are a blast, pretty much seems to be a cross between motorcycling and boating. What a great sense of freedom. Winter and snow seem to be almost tolerable, next season will be much more fun. If you have not yet tried it, and get the chance, go for it, snow mobile riding just might fill that void when you can't ride the cycle.

Coastie you are making me jealous!!!
While living in NH I owned a few. they are a blast! in many of the smaller towns up north there were more groomed trails leading to town than paved roads.

I've rented a few in Colorado, and they are a blast... just don't get get stuck! Sure are expensive for just four months of the year, though...

If you do rent, don't do it as a group tour, or you might get stuck with someone that is afraid to go fast. The group will ride to the lowest denominator. It's better to rent on your own (individually or as your own group) and get a trail map, that way you can go where and as fast as you want to.

Sierra Cement: Good for skis, bad for knees.

I really like them too, but maybe for different reasons. Remember to be careful lifting them.
