My transmission went belly up on '07 K1200s with about 15k miles. I am looking for a good independent shop in Houston that will assist me with installing one I bought of e-bay. All the help you guys can provide will help a great deal. Thanks!
If you have mechanic know-how and the required tools, it is a fairly easy swap. Im doing mine this weekend ( the going in part ), and the most difficult part will be retourqing the clutch basket nut. you will need a specialty tool to hold it or The Incredible Hulk's hands. I would also recommend the repair manual disc available on ebay for the step by step process.
