Smile Breakfast run to Borrego Springs

Reading about the runs through the snow has me hankering for some warmth. Looks like I'll be able to get away early this Sunday (3/25). Anyone want to meet for breakfast in BS?

I'm in... almost.

As long as we are meeting on sunday the 26th.
Do you have a specific spot in mind for breakfast? I was probably going to travel up from the south side of julian if anyone from the san diego area wants to join me.

I can't make the ride, but where is a good place to eat in Borrego Springs?

good place to eat?

Borrego Springs. Classic example that its the ride, not the destination. Breakfast is what we do between runs up and down Montezuma Grade. By lunch time the blue hairs and motorhomes will be too numerous to have fun. Sorry you can't make it. Will let you know how it goes.

you missed a great time

The ride was FN great! I'm sorry that I caused a lot worry with my accident. Although, I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of guys to be around in the case of an emergency. The weather was picture perfect, the ground was okey. I'll post more details later when I get everything figured out with the insurance.

If you haven't guessed, I went down while riding with the guys.
Both Christine (my passenger) and I greatly thank Mark, Kris, and Frank for all the concern, help, and good spirits! Both of us look back and are thankful about being able to walk away with only bumps and bruises!

Wow... this is not good news, Mark. I'm glad you weren't seriously injured. Let us know what happened if you feel like sharing the information.

Happy you both are ok

Hey Mark & Christine

Hope you both made it back to the SD area ok. I was shocked to see your nice bike laying against those rocks on our way to Julian and even more shocked to see you and Christine on the other side of the road.

Although it sucks to have your bike in this condition, I am thankfull that you both are ok, and I am sure we will be scraping pegs together again in the near future.

We are happy we passed by, and sorry for your bad luck.

Keep up the good spirit and take care of your sweet passenger, those bruises need some soft handling ;-)

Don't forget to light that candle for your guardian angels

stay in touch

Kris

Guardian Angel and one big rock

Be nice to one, stay away from the other. Never seen forks bent like that. Ouch. Hope the G.A. has some positive influence with the insurance co. too.

Looking forward to a perfect ride next time.

M.
