Think I will be a beta tester on the GT. It sounds pretty sweet to me.

You sure gotta hand it to BMW for not sitting around on their arses and doing nothing. The research and development guys must be working day and night. They have been pushing out new models one after another in the last 5 yrs like plasmas
This new k1600gt concept sure wets the appetite for a test ride. The features on the new bike sound pretty impressive as well. If only they could iron out all the negative little bugs on them before they release them so we don't have to go thru these love, hate relationships with our bikes. (how many decades can a final drive fail for)
If my memory serves me correct did'nt Benalli and Honda both release an inline six cylinder bike in years gone by with very limited success. Oh well lets hope that BMW is on a winner with this one and has great success, minus the bugs.

kawasaki 6cyl 1300

I owned a 6cyl kaw 1300 ,it sounded kool going to red, and would out run the fastest yamaha on the market on the road. (while I was fully equipped fairing ect,) it was carburated they latter had fuel injection though,, I think it was a 1980 modle a fun 6cyl bike ,, kinda wide though. joe

Also note on the other forums that the K1300GT is to be chopped?
I find this hard to believe, the K1300GT is nothing like the K1200LT and I suspect the K1600GT that may replace it.If this is true sounds like a major mix up on BMW's part !
cheers Andrew R1200GS (for now)
