old mans disease

is it possible to fit higher handlebars to my 1200rs , the arthritis is making like uncomfortable for any distance riding

You'd be looking for bar risers.
I was hoping to get more lift on my K12GT bars and bought some RCU risers from the US for about US$100. Turned out the GT already had some and so I couldn't put a 2nd set on...
Based on my research before, there's a couple of manufacturers sets available .... these ones for the RS(RCU ) seem to be about the cheapest... other options go from several hundred to thousands for an electric set from Germany.....
If you change the bars in any way you'll probably need to put a longer brake line on too.
