Attachment Issues

Hi,

So I'm experiencing the same problem and been able to replicate it on 2 different PC's with 2 different browsers (IE and Mozilla):

When attempting to attach a file to a post, I hit the "Manage Attachments" button and get the "Upload File" window. I am able to select the file from "Browse" and hit the "Upload" button.

After this it attempts to add the file, but when the window refreshes, it is just blank. When I go back to the message, the file is not attached.

I've attempted this with several different file types and sizes.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

This is a behavior that results when a file that is too large is loaded. We have a 1MB limit on attachment files. I have not been able to isolate the issue that causes a blank page instead of the error message.

I neglected to include the file size (too many beers tonight!):
File A is 726KB
File B is 220KB

Both are under the 1MB limit.

I have a Google Toolbar installed on IE but it is disabled for this site. Mozilla has no popup blocker installed. This is the same case for both PC's.

IE is 6.0 SP2 and Mozilla is an older 1.7.3 on both PC's

Thanks!

Raffy,

I emailed you the files but I see you've put them in the post already.

Here's a few points to consider for this issue:
- Everyone talks about file size being under 1mb
- You reference that the pictures were 'huge'; referring to picture size I assume. does this mean there is a limit on the pixel size of the jpg?
- Shouldn't there be an error message that appears when you attach a file that doesn't fit these pre-req's instead of just a blank white refreshed page?

Thanks!
