I have a PC3 with the dynojet quickshifter fitted to my '08 K12S, works beautifully, although be prepared to use more fuel, it's hard not to pin the throttle to play with the quick-shifter.

I have a PC3 on my '05 K12S and have been looking at getting one of these for a while. But in the end I always talk myself out of it. As someone who has one, what are your comments on the following:
* How often do you really use it?
* Do you find yourself always shifting later than normal in order to use it (as I understand it, it doesn't even function at lower rpms)?
* Does it result in abrupt/jerking shifts, or do they turn out smooth?
* Can you comment on what it means for clutch/transmission wear when using one?

let me try to answer these:

* Can you comment on what it means for clutch/transmission wear when using one?
don't know, but wear if there is any won't be any different to clutchless shifts.

* Do you find yourself always shifting later than normal in order to use it (as I understand it, it doesn't even function at lower rpms)?
you can set the minimum revs above which the QS will operate and the time it cuts the ignition for, so long as yo are above this and the box is under load, the shift is as smooth as. Only time I've had it 'bounce' is when the box is under no load(closed throttle). When I 1st put it on it becomes quite addictive to pin the throttle to the stop and use the QS, but now I have got over the initial buzz I use it fairly regularly. It definitely helps you accelerate up through the gears much faster

* Does it result in abrupt/jerking shifts, or do they turn out smooth?
see above

* How often do you really use it?
see above

OtherS options

Hi Guys,
I also have a k1200S, which is a 2008 model one owner 58K on the clock. All is wonderful and such a pleasure to ride. I would like to fit a Q/shift too, but wondered if there is any other options, other than PC 2 and QS. I assume you have to buy both components ?

Thanks in advanced
JD
