So my husband comes home and says...

"Honey, I bought you a present"

"I don't need anything sweetie"

"I've already bought it, but you get to pick the color, orange or black"

Now, I can't see a orange as a color I want in the house, so I say "Black"

"I bought you a brand new, never titled 2008 KTM Super Super Duke"

I squeal with delight. “SWEET!”

So we go, pick it up and I ride it home.
It was BLAST! Like a scalpel on wheels.

The farkling begins and to modify the twitchy throttle the stock exhaust is replaced and the ECU re-mapped.

Now I thought I made myself very clear I don’t like ‘loud’.
Not the loud that others make for the sake of being loud and I refuse to impose anything loud on anyone.

W - e - l - l the Apex exhaust it the loudest motorcycle exhaust EVAR!

So after my second ride, I handed the keys to him and gave it back and explained why. He was heart broken and I felt like ungrateful cad.

So he gave me the keys to the K1200S and said, “It’s yours”.

In mid conversation this week as I was telling him about my latest motorcycle ride I blurted out "oh and I'm going to paint the K12S pink".

You could have heard a pin drop on the moon.

"I'll burn it to the ground first".

We went back and forth a few times and l said 'You made the KTM too loud for me to ride the you handed the keys to the K12S to me and said "It's yours".

(pause)

"Fine. You go ahead and paint it pink".

It was clearly a dare and he doesn't think I'll do it.

Now...I can’t manage the $1000 - $1500 to get it painted until this fall, but I wanted to start with the design work.

What I’m looking for is a large pixel line drawing like a coloring book to copy and play with color schemes.

Does such a thing exist?

I looked and looked and can’t find anything.

Wouldn't putting a quieter exhaust on the Duke be easier??

Aaannnnndddd...... you want this bad ass website, where testoserone drips like an old Amal carburetor drips gas, to help you figure out a PINK paint scheme for your S? Hmmm. TRYING to be open minded about this... It will be interesting to see what you come up with!

You missed the point.
He gave me the K12S.
Why no longer matters.

We also learned we can't 'share' ownership of a motorcycle.

In case you hadn't noticed women pilot their own bikes now-a-days.
Me greater than 350,000 miles, several IBA certs, and wrench all my bikes from transmission rebuilds up.
What is the world coming to?

I didn't come here looking for a pink paint scheme.

I wanted a blank line drawing, colorless image of the bike so the I could develope the paint scheme.

Clearly I came to the wrong website full of machismo and the closed minded.

Outta here.

I like this gal a lot! Reminds me of my wife, hands down. When we first met I spouted off some sexist line she didn't care for and immediately got up in my face, much like Shoganai here. Next thing you know we're dating and I proposed.

I love a confident, spunky woman. Shoganai you're welcome to ride with me anytime and turn a wrench in my garage whenever you wish!

Best of luck with your K1200S project.
