Has anybody done this on a K1300S? Do you guys recommend it, and at what mileage? My bike only has 3K miles, so shouldn't be a concern this early in its life, no? Maybe at the first valve clearance check, which is at 16K miles, I believe? Comments welcome.

ELP_JC, I am not sure, but, having seen your post on the right side frame protector project, yours looks like mine. I don't think that we have to do this. If you look at the before and after images, the earlier bikes had a relatively flat plate at the top of the case, while at the end of the project, his looks like ours, with a tall tube coming off the case. My interpretation, and this could be wishful thinking, is that our bikes came with the updated CCT, and we are good.
If anyone knows any different, please chime in.....
