License plate relocation

Hello all I am new to the site and the new owner of an 08 12S. Even though I have only had the bike for 2 months I love it. I have been reading all of the helpful info on this site. I was looking at the threads about relocating the license plate and I came up with my own design that will allow you to still see the BMW logo and use the taillight to light the plate. If anyone is interested I will post some pictures. Thanks again for all the great info!

Still learining how to post pics sorry guys. Ok here we have the unpainted plate that I cut out of 1/8" thick aluminum, I cut a template first then transferred that to the piece of aluminum. Next is the unpainted plate held up to the bike, then here is the painted plate ( flat black) mounted on the bike and then here is what it looks like with the liscence plate all mounted up.

Ok finally here are the last pics. I cut roughly a 2x2 hole on the bottom of the tailight, there is a nice flat area that looks as if there was a hole meant to be there so it worked out perfect then I siliconed on a piece of clear plastic to cover the hole and keep the moisture and dirt out. I think the finished product came out really nice and there is plenty of light to light up the plate. The BMW logo can still be seen, you dont have to have another light mounted to light the plate and it looks alot better than the stock jumbo mount.

Thanks, I was just trying to visualize it all better. The last three did the trick...
