Advice on buying a 2012 K1300S

Hello All,

I am from the K1200GT forum and have listed my 2007 K1200GT for sale as I would like to get a used K1200S.

My 2007 GT has had all the usual problems, of course out of warranty, so I found out how unsupportive BMW can be. Failed Key Ring Sensor, failed ABS, failed fuel level strip, noisy cam chain due to tensioner at startup... the usual list.

So I am looking at a a used 2012 K1200S from dealer that was a demo bike and will come with balance of warranty.

Do you have any advice on potential problems or weakness in the bike I should look out for?

Thanks

Dennis

advice on k1300s

Hello:
I currently own a 2010 K1300S. I bought it new and now have 28,000 miles on it. It runs better every day and has only been back to the dealer for its 600 mile service. I perform all related maintenance.
I previously owned a K1200S for 5 years and traded it at 56,000 miles on the 13.
The K1300s is everything the K1200s should have been but wasn't. I took the luggage and center stand off of the 12 and added it to the 13. I also added higher bars and the Jump guard for the timing chain.
You will not regret buying the K1300S.

If it doesn't have a centerstand or Sport Bags, have them make it part of the deal. That's it. I have had mine for 6 months and 3500miles. Perfect ergos, perfect fueling and no complaints. She is the 30 Anniv Ed and I am in love. Oh, BTW-2012-did you mean K1300S?
