Need help with K1200R

OK. I finally got around to taking my clutch and gearbox out to troubleshoot a shifting problem. The problem is that when starting out, the bike will shift fine from neutral to first, but will stall when I shift to second. Of course this happens while the bike is in motion. Also, the shift to second sounds a bit clunkier than normal.
Now the weird part, I checked out the gearbox and everything looks fine. There is some wear, but nothing that should cause a problem. Also, with the gearbox out, I was able to shift between gears with no unusual problems.
As far as the clutch, it looks good as well. The clutch has never slipped or shown any signs of trouble before. I do not even know how it could be a cause anyways.
I just do not know why the engine is stalling on the shift to second. Even if the gearbox is not making a full shift, and it is only going to neutral, the engine would not secure. And if it does go to second, the inertia would keep the engine running.
I would love to hear possible electronic possibilities. Or hell, I would settle for anything.

Thank you for any advice.

I wonder if the gearbox potentiometer could stall the engine if faulty? That's the only thing I can think of that changes with gear shifts.

Can you shift past second and keep the engine running? You know, skip past second gear.

Could it be a weird side stand switch problem?

I'd wonder what the diagnostics say? Maybe get or find someone with a gs911.

Good luck, let us know if you figure it out.

Just realized I put this in the K1200S section, not that it matters technically.

Anyways. The kickstand issue I think would cause problems no matter the gear position.

But I will need to check the other possibilities you brought up. I think I need to button everything back up and do more troubleshooting.
