Seat choices for the S

So the stock S seat is pretty good, but I have my doubts about more than a couple of hundred miles at a time. So besides Corbin, what choices are there? I called Sargent and the fellow I spoke with told me "Late Summer" ! Anyone have any idea's ?

Think about having a custom seat done. Here are some places to check out.
Bill Mayer Saddles
Rick Mayer Cycle
Cee Baley
I'm headed to Bill Mayer this week to have my seat done. If interested, let me know and I'll post some pics when I get back.

I had a Rick Mayer seat once.. Great seat.. problem is that it has to be built on a stock pan.. don't want to give up the seat now that spring is here.. If I can find a stock seat cheap I'd buy it so I could still ride while he built me a seat.

There's got to be some custom guys on the east coast. Most if not all would welcome the chance to fit you in person. Ride over, get new seat, take the loonngg way home!

Talk to Mike at Russel All Day saddles...he's reworked his stock 600RR saddle into a very nice shape, he's obviously a sport rider working for a company that has traditionally done touring stuff. katie will email you pics of what he did. The only concern I had was that while it looks great on the RR since there's a cowling for the rear part of the saddle, one would really have to work both ends of our seats in order for the "customization" not to stand out. So be it if you ride with 2 up, but I never do...still, check them out, really good folks from what I can determine. Remind them Jimmy from Virginia talked to them last week about this.
