GT handlebars on K1200S?

Is this doable with extended brake and clutch hoses?

I bought a Russell Cycle all day long seat for long range cruising, but my posture is still the same and my wife finds is very weird now sitting way behind me on this new seat. I love my K1200S and would like to keep it if I can transform it for the rider posture closer to an upright posture. With new seat, pillion is practically upright, but I have to lean forward to reach the handlebars.

Would K1200/1300 GT handlebars achieve this if they can fit with extended hoses etc?

Have you checked into the Verholen bar risers ? They raise the bars 85mm (about 3.3") and may give you enough relief. Some model years need a longer brake line, others do not.

The GT probably has other changes that may be cost-prohibitive to add to the S. Another thing, the windscreen will likely need to be taller as well. The GT has an adjustable windscreen.

I added a SW-Motech rack and top case for my S.O. When she isn't on board, I remove the top case, leaving only the base plate (which acts somewhat like a spoiler).

GT bars and yoke would be too high (most likely hitting the fairing and shield) and quite a bit of rework. I have a an S and GT and have sized this up, it's not a good solution and the ride position would be quite odd.

Beyond the riser bars look at installing the K1200R yoke and bars, it provides a factory fit, wider bars and clears the body componets without having to add extensions to cables/hoses, this is what I did

I have an R yoke and bars if you want to PM me.
