Please ID this part

Hello, over the weekend I changed the qd fuel line connector on the side of the fuel tank from slightly leaking plastic to metal. Great success I was cleaning my k12s and noticed a loose white cap in the area under the tank. Not sure where it came from or even if it is from the motorcycle. Please take a look and let me know what this plastic rubber feeling cap is...... Thank you in advance.

Michael.

Has your dealer performed any maintenance recently or replaced a part?
It looks like a dust cap_typically fitted to a new component when stored.

Looks just like one of them silicone "powder coating plugs".
