Air Flow Valve
I bought my K12s last year by accident.
I was supposed to be part-xing my Monster for a work horse whilst I rebuilt my old R60. That was until I saw the K12. Absolutely beautiful. That was me. Sold.
As time has gone on I've found the bike will stall when coming to a standstill at a roundabout on a motorway slip road. At first I thought it was me being cack-handed but it happens too regularly for that.
I even managed to stall her in the fast lane when some Muppet tried to take me out and I needed to snap the throttle shut.
I've read about airbox and software issues, all of which I have approached my local BMW dealer with without success. Now I'm considering the possibility that the air flow regulating valve may be sticking (another possible cause that I have read about).
I'm going to approach BMW UK regarding the airbox and software. In the meantime does anyone have a drawing of the airflow regulator or an understanding of which bit of it fails?
Can anyone recommend a specialist in the UK who can help with this?
Is the best option the installation of a Power Commander to override the BMW fuel maps?
