elastic band

what's the use of having the elastic band in the middle of the seat , the one that goes through the seat from underneath.

by this i do not mean the one that is oriented like the bike is rolling but across from left to right,
it's a lot smaller than the one in the back !

could it be to tie down stuff? ==) it seems to be a little weak!

Stroker, that's exactly what it's for. I use it all the time to tie down my tail bag and it works great.

i'm actually using a bunjee net type of holder and it's working great
i've tested it at 285 klic's and my lunch was still there when i got to work
i don't thrust this little elastic for such speeds

Look at the underside of the seat. They're wrapped around a couple of little "buttons" for storage when not in use.

It's not the speed that kills, it's the rate at which the speed diminishes...

i dont get it
once you have the helmets hooked to the hooks(witch i had to cut since my straps where not long enough clear the hook's) and the seat is back on and locked , what's the use??????????????????????????
