Newbie with a few K electrical questions...

Hello all

I bought a 14 plate K1300s at Christmas, since then I have covered around 7000 miles.

About 4000 miles ago the main headlight bulb blew (I had to ride back home with full beam on as it was at night!).

Replaced the bulb like for like - however it has blown again.

Should I be worried about this/get it checked out?

(Whether related or not I have noticed when riding at night, then when I take my hand off the throttle the lights dim...)

Any help / suggestions would of help to this non mechanically minded person!

If it was mine I'd be looking at the ground side connections for the battery and frame first.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but you used gloves or did what as necessary to not touch the bulb? Oil or anything on the bulb can create a hot spot and cause the bulb to fail.

Does the 1300 have three identical bulbs like a 1200?
One the 1200 you can take a high beam bulb and put it in the low beam spot if you have to.

I would verify all grounds (earths) on the bike.
