Do I Have 6.0 Or Not?

Perhaps a silly question, but can you tell by VIN or mfg. date whether or not an S has 6.0, or must it be hooked up to the computer? Thanks.

You should take it to the dealer to determine that. I think 6.0 came out in April. So if your bike was built around that time, you might have 6.0 on it already. However, a trip the the dealer is the only way you can be sure.

BTW, I've heard rumors that dealers are now charging for the upgrade unless you are in for an interval service. Because the download is taking so long on some dealer GT1 units, they are not happy about doing it for free anymore unless you are already there for service.
