Question about a new purchase

I found a dream bike to buy with only 4500 miles on it, and it's a 2008 K1200S in the color I love, immaculate. With that said, it has no ESA option (or even heated grips!) and a low seat and bags to its credit. I like the bags, not sure about the low seat option, but I wonder what the suspension is set to without the ESA? Is it still adjustable? I have no clue in this regard. I can call a dealer but I think I'd bet the most satisfaction right here from you folks.

Please comment on the "low seat" deal.....what is that all about? Thanks for any input. The seller has receipts for service....but dear Lord...only 4500 miles!!! I'm excited about that!

2000 Night Train

2004 Daytona 955i

2014 ZX14-R

My 08 K1200S also has the low seat option which is about 1.5 inches lower than the standard seat.

The low seat has 1 grove on each side of the front of the seat and the standard has 2 or none (depends on year)

As Douglas mentioned, check for the grooves in the side of the seat. But the seat choice is really not an issue, I have one of each, readily available on ebay, couple seconds to change over.

Depending on when it's been to dealer, and how good the dealer is, there have been a bunch of updates and recalls that need/should be addressed.
Rear hub change, was an important recall last year.
Air box upgrade, immobilizer ring, fuel tank gauge strips are a few that come to mind.

A good dealer can plug in your VIN and give you a full printout of all recorded service work thats been done, and will know what needs/should be upgraded free of charge.

For operational mods, I've added an aftermarket booster plug, and done the cannister-ectomy.

For comfort and safety, I've increased forward lighting, increased brake lighting, custom raised license plate holder, and I run the low seat, lowered pegs, and helibars, amonst other things.
