OK, total bonehead move here.

Feeling pretty stupid for this, but hope someone can help.

I removed the tail light from my 2008 K1200S to install a new bulb. However, I didn't mark which wires go where on the tail light connections. I guess I'm kinda used to just having self orienting plugs vs. individual wires (which I notice BMW corrected on the K1300S). Can someone please tell me how the wires connect?? The tail light connections are marked 54, 58, 31 and I have Red/Gray (Positive), Brown (Ground), and Black/Gray (Brake). Please save me the embarrassment of calling the dealer.

This link may help you figure out where the wires go.

Just disregard the ACCESSORY REAR LIGHTING info.

Also check your wires. If there the same colors as a K1200RS than this may help also

Brown (thick-ish) - Earth
Grey/Black - Tail light
Grey/Yellow - Brake light
Blue/Red - Left indicator
Blue/Black - Right indicator

Thanks Doug, much appreciated. I think the wires are the same as the K1200RS.
