Red face Tank level /RANGE reading! FIXED

My K1300S -12 HP is halvf full of petrol, but i reads only one bar, yellow is flashing with the "Fuel" text and RANGE=30km...what is wrong?

FIXED: iv been filling up the tank, but not moved the bike. Today i moved here 1m, and the readings got correct!
She now shows RANGE=190km and level=1/2.

Tank Level/range

You might be in the beginnings of the dreaded fuel strip failure! In the year mine was failing, it would reconnect and work for a while then fail.
Each time it would decide to work, it would be inaccurate as the ECU thought it had a new strip that hadn't been calibrated. Finally had a
new strip installed and calibrated. Two year warranty from BMW and keeping fingers crossed and hoping no further failures!

I dont believe the K1300 uses a fuel strip...they changed it to a float type.
